It has been some time since Intel released the Atom mobile processor and a large number of companies began producing low cost, ultra-mobile laptops based around it. Lenovo has finally caught up with the market with the introduction of the IdeaPad S10 netbook. It may look fairly plain and simple with its toy white design but additional colors will be available (likely at extra cost) in the future. With so many of the units nearly identical in features, what really sets the Lenovo netbook apart from others? Find out in my review.

Computer Deal of the Week

Sunday October 12, 2008

This week's deal involves a printer rather than a computer. Many people purchase one with their PC as it is a pretty important peripheral. Inkjet printers have been popular because of their low initial costs and high quality color output. What people don't realize is that color laser printers have become much more affordable and better quality. Take for instance the Samsung CLP-315 color laser printer for $130 after rebates from Staples. This compact color laser printer isn't that much more expensive than inkjet printers but can print faster and with less overall noise. Sure, it can't print photo quality prints, but the toner costs are much more economical in the long run.

Disclaimer: All deals are those advertised by the retailer in question and may have rebates or other conditions of purchase for the products. Please be sure to read all disclaimers from the seller before purchasing.
