IBM was a leader in desktop hard drives with their early Deskstar series, but eventually the drive line encountered the infamous 'click of death' which changed their fortunes. Eventually they sold their drive division to Hitachi. The Tech Report takes a look at the new Hitachi Deskstar 7K250 SATA to see if Hitachi has turned around the fate of the Deskstar line.
