LCD Image Persistence

Have you ever watched a TV, played an arcade video game or used a computer monitor where there was a faint image visibile on the screen no matter what was currently displayed? This is a condition that is common to CRT based displays called burn-in. One of the advantages that was played up about LCD monitors was that they could not have this happen to them, but a similar condition can occur called image persistence.
