Dual Video Card Power Problems

Thursday March 2, 2006

Since I have been covering a lot about power supplies this week, I thought I would share this article that was posted on ExtremeTech today. It specifically talks about power supply problems when used in systems that use dual video cards such as NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFire. They specifically noted that AMD had a problem with the Antec TruePower 550W EPS12V in an SLI setup. Ironically, this is the power supply I use and have yet to encounter problems they mention. I guess I spread out my power load similar to the recommendations mentioned in the article.
