One of the of the easiest method of upgrading an existing computer system is through increasing the amount of RAM that it has. In fact, this can often give you the most bang for your buck when it comes to adding performance to a PC system. When a system doesn't have enough memory, the operating system is forced to rely on slower means of storing data, such as via the hard drive. By ensuring that the system has sufficient RAM, it removes any bottlenecks to the performance. This has especially become important as more and more people multitask with the new dual core processors or upgrading to the new Vista operating system.
