Previously, HP sold budget desktop PCs only under their Compaq brand name. Thanks to the decreasing costs of components, there are now Pavilion desktops that can be found for under $650 again. I purchased this computer 3 years ago and I am very unhappy with it. First, it runs very hot and I have had the hard drive crash twice and the mother board replaced once. I will not buy another HP.
