Shuttle Support Profile

Friday March 21, 2008

Shuttle Computers has only been in the business of building complete desktop computer systems for a few years. Prior to that, they made a name for themselves building PC components such as motherboards and peripheral. They are probably best known for their XPC line of small form factor kits that consumers can buy and build desktop PCs from. This is what actually created their own systems business. Find out what Shuttle offers in terms of support for their new PC business as well as their barebones kits in my latest profile.

Included in the profile I list the various avenues that users have for support, tips and advice. In addition, I’m posting a survey below and in the profile asking users for their opinion of Shuttle, either with the systems or barebones kits. If you have used their support and would like to let others know of their experiences for better or worse, please feel free to post them in the comments.

How would you rate Shuttle's support?

I have used Shuttle’s support with an issue regarding one of their XPC barebones kits. I was attempting to install Windows XP x64 but was unable to due to a BIOS issue. After the flash process failed and damaged the BIOS, I contacted shuttle via email to get a replacement. They sent me in the mail two replacement BIOS chips one with the version I was attempting to upgrade to and a beta version. All of this was taken care of within a matter of days and I was quite happy with their help.
