Understanding Notebook Drives

What good is a notebook computer if there is no storage space for applications or data? And what about being able to load programs, watching a DVD movie or burning an audio CD? All of these features are important things to consider when buying a new notebook PC. Some notebooks don't even have these built into them in order to save space.
