It seems like more and more companies are moving away from build to order systems and instead offering preconfigured systems for purchase directly or through retailers. Zt Systems is a company that is fairly new to the retail environment for desktops, but they do build-to-order notebooks with some relatively inexpensive systems. The Reliant H4000i is their 15.4-inch widescreen notebook model that users can order to their needs. Find out more about what Zt Systems offers on the Reliant H4000i in my review.

(1) Henry Switzer says:

When I do comparison shopping, how do I find the best deal? * There are scores of models and your best advice is to look at the major vendors only such as IBM, Dell or Compaq. This makes your choice a great deal easier. Cheap laptops and the accessibility to computer repair are available everywhere but here are a few tips to help. * Make a list of all potential models of cheap laptops and their features. * Then apply the things that are the most important to you such as CD-RW/DVD, larger display, hard drive size, etc. * Look online to see what’s available in cheap laptops and computer repair and try to get your analysis done within a week or two. Then be prepared to do it again if you are going to buy immediately. * Choose a model that you like the best and choose any needed components to meet your specifications. * You’re going to end up with a list of numerous models with similar features and different models and vendors. You’ll be able to base your decision on this list * list things like included software, warranties, and lock, etc. * Calculate in shipping costs and taxes. * Shipping availability is important and most cheap laptops will take a week or two to ship, but some may not be available for a while longer. * If you’ve chosen from a retail outlet, you get the exact same information from the store’s web site.
