Computer Deal of the Week

There has been lots of talk about the new extremely low cost subnotebook systems. While the first models were released around $300, the newer models with expanded features and the XP operating system quickly rose to $500 and more. While they are still quite portable, there are less expensive options available to users willing to purchase older budget laptops that offer more performance but in a larger size. Take for example the Toshiba Satellite A205-S5825 laptop from Best Buy for only $400. The system offers a 32-bit Intel Core 2 Duo T2370 dual core processor, 1GB of DDR2, 120GB hard drive, dual layer DVD burner, 15.4-inch LCD, 802.11/g wireless and Vista Home Premium operating system.

Comments
Feel free to leave any comments regarding the items in the Deal of the Week posting, but be aware that this posting changes on a weekly basis and any comments specific to a product will be deleted when the deal is changed.
Anything sold at any price by Best Buy is not a good deal because of the possibility of having to use their returns policy which is grossly unfair to anyone except Best Buy. They normally, routinely, don’t accept returns without a hefty fee being paid by the customer. Therefore, it is prudent to stay away from Best Buy.
Why in the world don’t you know about this policy?
Please do not recommend anything from Best Buy. You would be doing your readers a disservice by doing so.
