MSI's Wind Netbook Computer
There have been lots of companies entering the netbook market. Many of them are just copying the designs of the early ASUS Eee models. MSI has decided to take their own view of the netbook market and produced the Wind using the Intel Atom processor and a 10-inch screen. They decided to try and make one much more functional like that of a traditional ultraportable but with a reasonable price tag. Can they succeed in an increasing competitive market? Find out in my review.

The MSI Wind is one of the best netbooks I have seen come out of the flurry of netbooks that has hit us the past few months. It offers a 10″ widescreen, Intel Atom processor, and WIFI with Bluetooth for well under what some of the other mainstream competition charge. All of this seems to come with a small problem: Battery life. MSI is only selling the 3-cell batteries, which averages just over 2 hours of continuous use. This is not good. Good news is sometime in the future a model will be available with a 6-cell accessory battery.
For the $500 price you really couldn’t ask for much more beyond the longer-lived battery. The screen is really not bad, the keyboard is great, build quality is top notch.

I received it with a monitor problem (DOA) and it’s been more than 2 months and still no replacement or news of it
