Gateway's Latest Retail Budget Desktop PC

Gateway has shifted their focus away from direct sales and instead offers a wide variety of PC configurations via select retailers. In many cases, a specific model will only be offered at one particular retailer. The Gateway DX4720-03 seems to be an exception and is a budget desktop model that can be found from several retailers. This certainly helps give it a very low price point because of the competition, but does the low price also affect features? Find out in my review.

Dam if i would have read your review i would have never bought this computer. considering the fact i am running it on a 26″ Westinghouse 1080 LCD TV. I guess that’s what i get for trusting Best Buy, and nothing like a restocking fee for trying to return this. If i wouldn’t have had a credit card there i would have gone to Circuit City they, that’s who i got my last comp through and the rest of my family they seem to know quite a bit more than Best Buy. Next time im definitely not buying a computer on black Friday.
I have this computer and i like it very much, I upgrades to a 500w power supply for under 60$ and bought a BFG GeForce9800gtx+ GPU. This computer was a quick fix and i like it a lot. Also if you decide to drop in a GPU like i did, be mind full of the size of the GPU, the 9800gtx i bought was to big to fit in the system initially I had to Remove a small pice of metal that held no purpose and moved some of the SATA wires around
