Gateway's Retooled Mid-Sized Laptop

Gateway's new MD series of laptops is really a reworking of their previous MC series systems. They share the same outside appearance as one another but have a number of changes once you flip open the lid. The most notable of these is the reduction of the LCD panel from a 16-inch size down to a 15.6-inch panel. Has Gateway changed much else on their new MD laptops?
