DIY: Budget Desktop PC Guide

Desktop computer systems have become increasing less and less expensive. What once used to cost thousands of dollars can now cost just a few hundred. The problem is the quality of many of these low cost desktop systems is suspect. It is possible to put together your own system with quality components and still not end up breaking the bank. But what parts should one buy? For those interested in putting together their own desktop computer system on a budget, I've put together a guide of what parts to consider for the project. All of the parts including the OS but without a monitor come in at under $500.
