With the popularity of the low cost Atom based netbooks, many companies have started to roll out products using the processors in desktops. They make the system extremely energy efficient and low cost, but they do sacrifice performance for these savings. In order to keep costs low, many companies elect to use the Windows XP netbook license that has hardware limitations on it. MSI has elected to instead use the Vista Basic operating system so they could have more memory and drive space. Does this help push the system beyond what other nettops are capable of? Find out in my review of the MSI Wind Top AE1900 18.5-inch all-in-one nettop.
