While companies like Dell that pioneered the customizable PC for consumers are moving toward tiered designs with fewer options, HP has opted to offer a greater number of performance desktop systems with a high level of flexible configuration options. Among these systems is the new HP Pavilion HPE h8z that is based around the new AMD FX lineup of processors. It is priced competitively with HP's Intel based offerings and that of competitors.
