Guide Review - ABS Bravado 2440
8/17/03 - ABS is a smaller computer manufacturer that offers system through online and mail order, but what they lack in name recognition they make up for in well built systems. The Bravado 2440 system is a good example. Using quality components, the system offers a good mix of value and upgrade potential. The system is based around the i865PE chipset which can run 800MHz CPUs and PC3200 memory, but the system instead ships with a 533MHz bus CPU and PC2700 Memory. This is its most glaring flaw as there are no immediate options to upgrade at the time of order. It does provide good connectivity and decent 3D graphics performance through its GeForceFX 5200 based video card.
