Guide Review - HP Pavilion a250n
8/19/03 - HP is really going after those interesting in multimedia applications such as digital photograph and video with the Pavilion a250n. This system packs a lot of multimedia features such as a DVD+RW burner, FireWire ports and a 6-in-1 media reader. Powered by an Intel 2.6 GHz Pentium 4 processor with 800MHz bus speed, it actually only uses PC2700 DDR memory. This reduces the overall potential performance of the system. The other area that could use some improvement is the graphics. The NVIDIA GeForce 4 MX provides some 3D acceleration, but nothing that would be very useful for today's modern games. But this system is not targeted at gamers and as such works well for its designed market.
