Guide Review - WinBook PowerSpec 9250
8/22/03 - WinBook has been a big name in notebook computers but they also sell desktop computers. Their PowerSpec 9250 is an amazingly powerful computer for the mainstream market. Based on the high speed 2.8 GHz Pentium 4 with 800 MHz bus, it is matched up with 512MB of PC3200 DDR memory. Graphics are powered by a decent NVIDIA GeForceFX 5200 card with 128MB to provide good 3D performance. It features a large 120GB hard drive as well as a 4x DVD+/-RW burner for lots of storage. The system features a suprising 3 FireWire ports which is unsual for most desktops. It even comes with Windows XP Professional for the operating system. All this does come at a larger price tag, but that price is not unreasonable for the performance.
