Guide Review - Sony VAIO PCV-RS320
8/21/03 - Sony's VAIO PCV-RS320 desktop PC on the surface appears to be a very powerful multimedia system, but its reliance on integrated components make it only an average system. While it is powered by a Pentium 4 2.6GHz CPU with 800 MHz bus, it only uses PC2700 DDR memory which reduces its potential performance. The integrated audio and video processors will provide adequate performance but fails to provide good 3D video. On the plus side, it comes with a large 120GB hard drive an a 2x DVD-RW burner for a large amount of storage capacity. The system would work well for digital video editing with the included iLink ports and software. Overall though, the system doesn't have any outstanding features that set it apart from others.
