Guide Review - eMachines T2625
8/18/03 - eMachines is well known for their low cost systems. In fact, the T2625 system is their most expensive desktop. They are able to offer such low prices because much of the older technology used in the systems. An example of this is the very dated VIA KM266 chipset which limits the system. The chipset only supports PC2100 DDR memory and 266MHz AMD Athlon Processors. Similarly, it can only support AGP 4x or lower cards. On the upside, this is probably one of the least expensive systems to feature a DVD+/-RW burner on the market. Don't expect much in the graphics department either. The ProSavage8 graphics processor will not be able to keep up with today's 3D apps. It is still a decent system for those on a budget.
