Guide Review - Toshiba Satellite P25-S507

7/18/03 - Toshiba's Satellite P25-S507 is a unique laptop because of its unusual size. This is due to its very large 17" WXGA LCD screen powered by an nVidia GeForce 5200 Go graphics processor. This system should be great for watching and creating DVD videos thanks to its 4x DVD-RW drive. The system is built around a Pentium 4 2.8 GHz desktop processor with 512MB of memory. Connectivity is excellent with integrated 802.11a/b wireless. The large LCD screen and components have the drawback of making this the biggest and heaviest desktop replacement on the market. It weighs an amazing 9.9 pounds! The side effect of this large size means that Toshiba was able to put in a full sized keyboard. Battery life is limited due to the screen and CPU.
