Guide Review - Sony VAIO PCG-Z1A1
5/9/03 - Sony's advertising compaign for their new VAIO Z1 notebook computer is very accurate, it is all about the style. Unfortunately, for the price one has to pay for this system that is pretty much all they will be getting. The VAIO Z1 notebook computer features the new Intel Pentium M processor which gives it good battery life and allows for the very slim profile while still providing good performance. The systems performance is limited by the computer's graphics performance. The 14.1" screen has a decent XGA resolution, but don't expect much video performance from the older Radeon Mobility processor. It lacks the power for pretty much any current 3D application. For the same price as the Z1, one can get a lot more.
