Guide Review - ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 9600 Pro

11/03/03 - ATI has been no stranger to the integrated graphics market. They have had a string of very successful cards with their All-In-Wonder series of cards. Their latest is the ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 9600 Pro which offers a number of enhancements. The most important improvement is the inclusion of multi monitor support. This is the first integrated card from ATI to support two computer monitors. In addition to this, they have also added an FM tuner. Multimedia performance is superb with good TV reception, video capture and playback. 3D gaming performance is very good as the card is based on the Radeon 9600 Pro but with a higher memory clock. Video captures were straightforward and very clean. The biggest flaw with the card is the lack of DVI connectors. In order to fit all of these functions on the card, there are a large number of connectors that hang off the back of the card. In the end, this is an exceptional card that should be considered by anyone wanting a multimedia capture and performance video card in one that might be used in a home theatre system.
