Guide Review - Gainward Powerpack! Ultra/650 TV Video Card
Gainwards PowerPack! Ultra/650 TV video adapter card uses the older NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti4200 with AGP 4x support. This is not really a bad thing since most motherboards sold until recently only support the 4x standard and tests on the newer 8x components show very little performance gains. The board comes supplied with 128MB of DDR video. It performs well in tests, allowing for sufficient frame rates in today's games but does lack DirectX 9 support so the lifespan of the card may be limited in the future. If you are style conscience because your computer has a window showing the interior, the stylish red PCB board and red aluminum GPU fan add a distinctive look. For the price, this card makes a good choice.
