For the past few years, About.com has put together its Readers Choice Awards to allow us to find out what our readers think on a variety of different subjects. For the PC Hardware / Reviews site, there will be three categories for the 2012 Readers' Choice Awards. They are:
Best Computer Company - This award is defined by the company that did the best job overall between their products and support. After all, one company can put out a single spectacular product but have many flops combined with poor overall support while another offers consistent quality.
Best Laptop Computer - Rather than a company, this looks for a specific laptop computer product as being the best. It could be a small notebook or a behemoth luggable. The question is, what laptop PC exemplified the best that there was in 2011.
Best Tablet Computer - 2011 is certainly going to be remembered as the year of the tablet thanks to the huge number of new product launches. Some of them were quite good but others had some serious issues or even failed to really make it to market. What product was the best overall tablet PC based on its hardware and experience provided?

Voting
Voting for the 2012 Readers Choice Awards will take place between February 22, 2012 and March 21, 2012. During this time, readers will be able to vote for their favorite among the top reader submitted nominees in the best for their respective categories.
