The TruePower 2.0 550W EPS12V has a huge number of connectors and cables running off of the main unit. This means that the power supply can drive a large number of components inside of the computer case, but it also has the drawback of making it difficult to manage all of the cables. Since only the main power line is sleeved, this just makes the problem of cable management even more difficult. It would be nice to see Antec sleeve all of the power cables in addition to the main power line.

The power supply has the following connectors:

  • 20/24-pin Main Power
  • 4-pin ATX12V Power
  • 8-pin EPS12V Power
  • Two 6-pin PCI-Express Graphics Power
  • Four Serial ATA Power
  • Five 4-pin Molex Power
  • Two Floppy Power
  • Two 4-pin Molex Fan Only Power
  • Power Supply Fan RPM Header

The 4-pin ATX12V and 8-pin EPS12V connectors run off the same cable and allows this power supply to be used with ATX desktop computer cases or EPS server based computer systems. Another important item to note is the Fan Only power connectors. These two power connectors can only be hooked up to case fans and have the voltages adjusted to vary the fan speeds based upon the temperature of the power supply.
