The lower portion of the case interior is split into two zones. The front houses up to six hard drives while the back holds the power supply. A wall separates the two and has a hole for routing cables. Similarly, there is an opening to the upper portion for cables. All of these openings have plastic covered edges to prevent cables or hands from being cut by the sharp aluminum edges.
Looking at the hard drive zone, there are six slots for hard drives to be mounted into the case horizontally. The problem with this is Lian-Li only supplied enough of the special drive mounting screws to attach three drives to the case. In front of the drives is a low noise 120mm fan that pulls air in from the front bottom intake slow. The air then travels back across the drives and out the openings at the bottom of the case.
The rear power supply compartment is very snug fitting for standard power supplies. It is important when installing the power supply to make sure the air intake valves face downward. This allows the air to enter the lower intake to cool the power supply and then flow out the back of the case.
The three lower openings on the case are covered by a raised piece of aluminum. This is designed to help reduce the amount of dust that can enter the system. The front air intake slot on the bottom of the case also has a foam insert to help remove dust particles. This can be removed by two simple screws for cleaning.
