On the bottom side of the case are two sets of aluminum wheels that can move the case around. They are fixed in a single front to back motion so it really just makes the case convenient for sliding out from under a desk. The aluminum wheels are fine for carpeted surfaces, but they will slide on smooth surfaces such as wood. To correct this problem, Lain-Li includes rubber treads that can be slid onto the wheels. In the picture, the wheel on the left has the rubber tread while the right does not.

While wheels may make it convenient to slide the computer out from under the case, they can also make it difficult to keep the case in place. To address this, a small sliding bar is included on the back set of wheels. When slide into position, it locks the rear wheels in place to prevent the case from moving.
