AGP

Definition: AGP - A high-speed computer interface that is designed specifically for computer video cards to allow high-speed transmission between the CPU, memory and the video card. Different specifications dictate the speed at which they can communicate. Current specs run at 1x/2x/4x/8x. This interface has been superseded by the PCI Express interface and will eventually be phased out of all new systems.
