Ethernet

Definition: Ethernet - A form of local area networking used to interconnect computer systems. It comes in three standard speeds: Ethernet (10MBps), Fast Ethernet (100Mbps) and Gigabit Ethernet (1000Mbps or 1Gbps). Each of the interfaces is backwards compatible with the slower speed standards.
