The front panel of the SN25P case is separated into five different sections. Starting at the top is the media card reader that is built into the case and uses one of the internal USB headers to connect to the motherboard. It is prewired in the system but it should be disconnected when installing the operating system to prevent the hard drive from ending up as drive letter other than C. It would be nice to see the slots covered as this is a means for dust to get into the system.
Below the media card reader is the drive door for the optical drive. The panel completely hides the drive that resides inside of the case. The door can be opened via a button on the upper right between the media reader section and the drive door. This is a level that will push the button on the drive door in most cases. Some optical drives with non-standard layouts may have problems.
The middle panel is the floppy drive door. In most cases this door panel will not be used as most system do no use a floppy drive anymore. It is nice to see Shuttle provide it in case the user does need it.
The largest panel on the front provides the drive LED, power and reset switches. If the LED lights are too bright, it is possible to adjust the lights to a lower birghtness or eve off in the BIOS.
The very bottom panel on the front opens up to provide access to the various interfaces. Under this panel are the headphone out, microphone in, two USB 2.0 and one FireWire port.
