One of the nice things that Shuttle has done with the XPC line of kits is the cable management. They have routed and tied down all the relevant cables to make the SN25P extremely clutter free. From this interior right view of the case, the cable sets at the top are for the Serial ATA hard drive mounting locations.
In the lower front of the case is a black shroud that is the air tunnel for funneling air from the right side of the case directly into the heatsink for the processor. There are a couple things to note about this. First, it is necessary to remove during the installation of the processor and the shroud is not very easy to remove without possibly damaging the clips. Second, some newer video cards such as the GeForce 7800 will not fit with this shroud in place. Thankfully, the system will run just fine with the shroud removed although CPU temps will be slightly higher.
Just above the shroud is the CD/DVD drive cage that also holds the floppy drive. If no floppy drive is going to be used, this is another location that a 3.5” hard drive can be installed into. Several metal pieces are included for installation onto the floppy portion of the cage to help reduce EMF interference with the processor that is directly below it.
At the back of the case is the 350W Silent X power supply. People may be concerned that this might not be powerful enough to drive a full system with a high performance video card but during testing it ran fine with a GeForce 6800 GT installed.
