Overall, the Shuttle SN25P XPC kit is a great overall package, but it does have a few flaws to it. Most notable of these is the lack of any driver support for the new Windows XP Profession x64 operating system. The Athlon 64 processors have always been designed for the 64-bit operating system, but the problem is that companies are slow to add support for the OS. It would be nice to see Shuttle add 64-bit driver support for the SN25P.
In addition to this, there is an issue with the current AMD Athlon X2 processors and the USB 2.0 ports. Apparently there is some issue that can cause devices connected to the USB 2.0 ports to lock up the system during heavy usage. This has been corrected in a new Y version BIOS but most units shipping still have earlier revisions on them necessitating a flash of the BIOS.
Beyond these two issue, the SN25P is still a very strong system. The nForce4 Ultra chipset provides excellent performance for the Athlon 64 processors and it is very feature rich supporting PCI Express graphics and Serial ATA 2 drives. The BIOS options are very flexible allowing for possible overclocking of processors although the tight confines might limit the potential due to heat.
For those looking to build a small form factor box with the AMD Athlon 64 processor, the Shuttle SN25P is highly recommended.
