Often as an incentive for users to buy graphics cards, the manufacturer will include a number of games that may show off the performance and features of the graphics card. In this case, AOpen has supplied a number of older games with the Aeolus 6800-DVD256.

Most of the games are fairly old and none of them qualify as first class games. The two main titles included with the card are Arx Fatalis and Spellforce, both from JoWood Studios. Arx Fatalis is a first person RPG that was originally released back in 2002. Spellforce: The Order of Dawn is a hybrid game that mixes elements of real time strategy and role playing games. It was released in early 2003. Neither of these games uses the new features of DirectX 9 that would showcase this card.

The other games compilation includes a total of five games: On the disc are:

  • Vietcong
  • Railroad Pioneer
  • Neighbors from Hell
  • Tropico 2: Pirate Cove
  • Aquanox 2: Revelation

Overall, the software collection can provide a good amount of entertainment for the user, but the majority of the games are old enough and obscure enough that it probably would not entice too many people to buy the card just for the games.
