The 2005FPW is packed very securely inside the box for shipping and comes with the pieces shown in the pictures above. Note that the monitor stand is not attached to the display panel so that the shipping package size can be reduced. Connecting the panel to the stand is a very easy process and it is held in place securely. The stand comes fully extended to its maximum height that will generally be higher than most users will want.

The LCD panel is covered by a plastic sheet to protect the screen from any scratches or damage during shipping. The native resolution of the monitor and an indicator to use the installation CD are printed on this sheet for user reference. The monitor driver is a bit difficult to install from the included CD as this launches automatically into the user manual rather than a selection for the monitor driver file.

Upon opening the box, the very first thing that the users will see is a very large poster sheet of instructions for setting up the monitor. One side has the instructions for connecting the monitor to the computer through the VGA or DVI connectors. The reverse side of the sheet has the diagram of all the ports and controls on the monitor. This information is also contained on the driver CD.
