Looking at the eVGA GeForce 6800 GT, it is really hard to see anything different about its design that the NVIDIA reference design or the design used by many other companies. The only indications that the board is from eVGA comes from two stickers. One is the sticker on the center of the cooling fan and the other is the serial number that resides on the back of the card.
Speaking of the sticker on the fan, this sticker fell off during testing and was sucked into the heatsink. This caused the card to have inadequate air flow which triggered the thermal shutdown of the card. Removal of this sticker might be advised to avoid a similar situation.
The heatsink on the board features one of the many mascots developed for the various lines of GeForce cards by NVIDIA which suits the standard green PCB of the board. This isn't a flashy graphics board in any ways, but it gets the job done very well.
Above the heatsink and slightly towards the front of the board is the SLI connector. This is where the SLI bridge that ships with an SLI compatible motherboard is placed to link it to a second identical 6800 GT graphics board.
On the upper back of the card is the PCI Express graphics power connector. This is where the power adapter or appropriate plug from the power supply is connected to provide sufficient power to the graphics processor. The card will not operate without power running to this connector.
