Based on all the testing, the GeForce 7800 GTX is clearly a very fast graphics card. Its ability to run at roughly the same speed as a 6800 GT SLI configuration makes it a more attractive purchase than the two individual cards. With the 7800 GTX ability to also run in an SLI mode, the card becomes even more attractive to those who would rather have the option of a future second card upgrade.
The 7800 GTX has the graphics performance to allow it to run at extremely smooth frame rates even with high anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering at high resolutions. The added functions of gamma correct and transparent anti-aliasing provides an even higher level of graphics quality that wasn't previously available.
There are a few downsides to the eVGA 7800 GTX though. The overclocking was not that impressive. While it did pull out a few extra frames in testing, the overall difference was not noticeable to the end user. The video functions were also very restricted based upon the software (or lack of it) provided by eVGA in the package. Finally, those looking to put it into a small form factor case may be disappointed to learn the extra length may prevent it from happening.
Even with all these, the eVGA GeForce 7800 GTX is still a strong choice for the gamer looking for the best frame rates and graphics quality currently available on the market.
