Looking at the GeForce 7800 GTX board, it is very similar to the reference board layout. Unlike previous video cards from eVGA, the 7800 GTX board does feature a special logo fan and heatsink unit to distinguish it from other brands. On the back of the card is the eVGA sticker that includes the serial number. It is important that this sticker not be removed if the card is to be returned through their Step-Up program.
One thing that may not be obvious from the picture is the size of the board. The overall length of the board is about one half inch longer than previous GeForce 6800 based graphics boards. This may not seem like much, but this extra size will cause the card to not properly fit in many of the current small form factor kits such as those from Shuttle.
Something not mentioned in any of the specifications is the power and heat. Compared to the previous 6800 Ultra based boards, the new 7800 GTX draws slightly less power even though it is somewhat faster. In addition, the smaller 110nm process allows the graphics card to run at a slightly lower temperature than previous top of the line graphics cards.
