Guide Review - Polywell Poly 939NF4X2

6/22/05 - The Poly 939NF4X2 derives its name from the core components for the computer. It is running on a nForce4 based motherboard and comes with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ dual core processor. This processor is fast for standard single threaded applications and also excels at multithreaded and multitasking environments. It is matched up with 1GB of PC3200 DDR memory that should let it run most applications smoothly.

Storage on the 939NF4X2 is about average for a performance system. The Seagate 200GB SATA drive is not the fastest on the market, but it has a high level of reliability. The Sony 16x DVD burner is also quite good but not the highest rated in terms of performance. Options are available for the user to upgrade these

Graphics on the system are good thanks to the GeForce 6800 graphics card. While not the GT or Ultra versions of the card, it still performs well with higher resolutions for 3D gaming, just without as many filters turned on. Polywell also adds in a large 19” LCD screen with the system which is a big bonus.

Overall the Polywell Poly 939NF4X2 provides a well rounded performance system that does all things really well rather than sacrificing certain features to boost the performance for a specific application.
