5/27/04 - Voodoo PC is a manufacturer of prestige computer systems. They are geared towards those looking for the fastest and most stlylish system regardless of cost and boy will it cost a lot to own ! The Envy M:370 is their latest thin and light notebook computer system.
Suprisingly, the low end Envy M:370 only comes equipped with a Pentium M 1.4 GHz processor. This is very slow for the amount of money paid for the system. It does ship with 512MB of PC2700 DDR memory though to help it have enough memory for most applications.
Storage is fairly impressive for the M:370. It comes with an average sized 40GB 5,400 rpm hard drive. It also comes with a 4X DVD+RW optical burner that is much faster than DVD burners found in competing systems.
Graphics is were the M:370 really shines. The system features a 15.4" WXGA+ (1280x800) wide screen LCD display and the very powerful ATI Radeon Mobility 9600 Pro graphics with 128MB of memory. This is equivalent to the desktop 9600 Pro card from ATI in terms of its power and capabilities.
One of the unique features that Voodoo has put into the M:370 is the support for their ATOM Speedpad unit. It is a mousepad that also doubles as an extended battery. With the purchase of this unit, battery life can be greatly increased.
Of course the big drawback to all of this is the price. Voodoo systems carry a very hefty price tag that all but a few people would be willing to pay. For the price of this system, you could purchase two notebooks.
