ASUS EEE PC 1001P-M
- this is a great net book.when you consider the specs.(atom N450 processor,1 GB ram,160 GB HDD & Windows 7 starter) the price is very affordable($279 at micro centre). The battery life is amazing.

Asus Aspire One AO532h
- Probably the best cheap one around. Others are better, yes, but this is the best 300 dollars you'll ever spend. FIRST, this netbook is THIN and of course light. It may well be the thinnest one out there (although the Acer ao751h, now discontinued but still owned by me, was also quite thin). It certainly would earn that kudo if it came with a 3 cell battery like the ao751h, but then it wouldn't be getting 8 hours of battery life. Personally, I'd rather have the battery life even if the rear of the chassis is raised by maybe .25 inch. Please note that similarly priced models from other manufacturers only come with 3 cell batteries. Also note that some 6 cell batteries have longer battery life - at a slight increase in weight. Since Acer netbook models only use two form factors for batteries (ao751h style or ao250 style) you should be able to pick up a 3 cell, 6 cell normal, or 6 cell high power accessory battery from Amazon later, should you desire a second battery. ASUS Eee PC
- I researched online for a week. It was sort of a toss-up between Acer & Asus netbooks. Then I went to Best Buy to try them. I found the Asus keyboard more to my liking so I ended up with a 1005-ha. Put in another gig of ram and bought the optical drive and a cordless mouse. It goes with me everywhere. I even use it right next to my desktop, surfing on 2 PCs at the same time. After 4 months I'm still very happy. Try before you buy is key.

Asus Eee PC 1000HE
- 10" screen, 95% keyboard, 2gb RAM, 160GB hd, webcam, gig eth, wireless g and n, 9.5 hour battery life and runs windows 7 business w/ office 07 like a champ. Nothing better for school, work or the road. Vga out is good great for extended use in one location, if you want to improve it - DVI or HDMI, hear that Asus?

Acer Aspire One 11.6
- This is a great machine. The larger screen permits display of all application pages, which was not true on my previous 10.1". The keyboard is perfectly sized. The only draw back is the speed. Acer went with a slower processor. I like another writer find that I use it almost all the time here at home. Battery life is terrific! Very sturdy construction. This is my first Acer. Very impressed. Have had Compaq, Toshiba and HP laptops. This is right up there with them all. The weight and width are very comfortable. I journal quite a bit, and would benefit from a better End key to get to the end of line - now, must use Fn+End key. Much better, however, than last netbook.

If style is your thing, ASUS 1008HA
- Minor sacrifices were made to preserve the thin profile and sleek looks. Can't upgrade the RAM without major surgery, or, better idea, sending it to the factory. Same with the battery. But, it's just so damn cute!

Toshiba NB200
- I love my Toshiba netbook and especially the fact that I can bring it to work without a cord and watch my collegues fight over the power supplies. I do not need to recharge my battery during the day, as my netbook runs for 9 hrs on a fully charged battery!!! And on top of this.. it is stunningly stylish and neither black nor white nor pink!

Asus Eee 904HD
- It has 2gb ram and 80gb hd, it can do anything that a PC can do and you can carry it in one hand.

Toshiba NB100
- It can mange 2GB RAM, delivered vith Linux, and runs Chrome smoothly. Only disadvantage is that its Hungarian keyboard layout is a bit weird - but I got used to it. It runs 3 hours on batteries, it has a usable touchpad, so it is designed to use it as a netbook.

Acer Netbook Rocks
- Works like it is supposed to. Would get one with 11.1 higher res screen though. Sleeve and DVD with CostCo package. I barely use my "real" computers anymore.

Acer Aspire One
- I've had this Netbook for almost a month and love the portability. Battery life is excellent (6 cell) and the keyboard is quite sufficient. Even came w/ext CD/DVD drive, wireless mouse and a protective sleeve. Now the wife and I no longer fight over the home desktop pc. A happy wife is a happy household :-)

Asus eee 1100
- The Asus eee1100 is even better than it's predecessor: much finer screen, 9.5 hours battery, 160GB disk, not expensive, and... still with windows XP (which I consider as a big advantage!). I use it with an external cd writer.
